A nearly bulletproof ridge of high pressure across the West will slowly give way to one storm system this weekend. Temps are running above normal, so snow levels may an issue at the ski resorts initially. The better snow will be at higher elevations. One storm will move out of the Pacific Northwest and slide south with snow for the Sierra then Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and Colorado between Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday ski the Pacific Northwest, on Saturday ski Tahoe, and on Sunday and Monday ski Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Alta or Snowbird.
