(November 12, 2018, Ellicottville, NY) Holiday Valley will kick off snowmaking in preparation for the 2018-19 season on Tuesday evening, November 13. The weather forecast is for temperatures and humidity to drop low enough to fire up the Automated snowmaking guns on Yodeler, the Candy Cane Loop, Mardi Gras, School House and possibly Cindy’s starting Tuesday evening through Thursday morning. The weather forecast indicates that snowmaking could resume on Saturday evening with more cold weather and possible snow through the week. It is important to remember that the weather can change at any time.

At this time we plan to stockpile the snow with an anticipated opening for our 62nd season on November 23, but we’re watching the weather closely for any changes.
