STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vt. --., Here in Vermont, we take our beer very seriously. At Stratton Mountain, the annual Craft Brewfest is the perfect way to enjoy peak fall foliage and welcome the upcoming winter season.

In its 15th year, Brewfest will feature the region’s best craft brews from the classic Long Tail IPA to some of Vermont’s best ciders, like Citizen Cider and Harpoon. Held on Oct. 6, 2018, Brewfest is the cornerstone to Stratton’s Harvest Fest weekend over Columbus Day.

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce Top Ten 2019 winning event offers more than 100 brews to sample and is accompanied by the Chili Cook-Off. Keeping to true Brewfest tradition, a keg toss and stein hoisting competition will be open for all to test their beer-related strength.

Enjoy family events like a spooktacular scavenger hunt, hayrides or grab a bite to eat at Stratton BaseCamp. Free live music will begin at 12 p.m. with Washington County Line in the Base Area, followed by Binea Kwame Shakedown and Dr. K’s Motown Review at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. To top the weekend off, nationally acclaimed Greensky Bluegrass will be performing Sunday.

To get the best foliage views, ride the gondola to the top of southern Vermont’s highest peak. For peak foliage, the gondola will be running seven days a week from Sept. 24 through Oct. 8. Tickets are $12 in advance for adults, or $15 at the gondola. Weekdays, the hours are 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
