Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has been blanketed with 3.5 feet of snow over the last four days and is ramping up for the holiday season with even more new terrain. On Tuesday, December 15, Squaw Valley opened up its iconic KT-22 Express at 1:00 p.m., voted best chairlift in North America for its 2,000 vertical feet of expert terrain including steeps, chutes and cliffs in the KT-22 zone.

Similarly, Alpine Meadows opened up some of its greatest intermediate and advanced terrain off of Scott chair in the Promised Land zone. Conditions permitting, Squaw Valley plans to open Headwall Express later this week. With these added lifts, the resort will be spinning a total of 27 chairlifts, accessing a wide variety of terrain for all ability levels.

In addition, Alpine Meadows opened Tiegel terrain park on Tuesday, December 15, while Squaw Valley plans to open up Belmont park on Wednesday, December 16, with Gold Coast park scheduled for Saturday, December 19. The SnoVentures Start Park is currently open at the base of the mountain near Far East Express, and additional features will be added there this week.
