Are you a skiing adventure seeker looking for a tool that toes the line between frontside and powder ski? Versatility peaks in the wider of the all-mountain ski categories with waist widths ranging between 90 mm and 106 mm and personalities that vary from “light and poppy” to “damp and stable.”

So what makes these ski models stand out? Click through each Editors' Choice ski pick via the list below to find out why they made our list of favorite 2015/2016 women's All-Mountain Back skis.

1. Völkl Aura

“This ski has attitude underfoot, yet moves through terrain with grace,” says Johnson of the Völkl Aura. Testers awarded it the highest scores in the category for float, not a surprise thanks to full rocker and its 100-mm waist. Highest scores also went to the Aura for stability. “It’s a solid, smooth ski you can trust on and off-piste,” says Rodman.

2. Blizzard Samba

It’s no surprise that testers gave the 98-mm-waisted Samba high marks for stability: Blizzard Editors’ Choice skis rank among the top three for stability in all categories for both men and women. “When put on edge, this ski holds the line,” says Muecke, echoing a common sentiment. “It’s a stiff ski without feeling planky,” says Fried. “It carves, it floats, it maneuvers—it rules.”

3. Atomic Vantage 95 CW

A new women’s all-mountain ski from Atomic, the Vantage 95 CW “floats well, smears easily and initiates turns smoothly,” according to Abbe. Testers gave the 95-mm-waisted ski high marks for stability and float. “Take advantage of the Vantage,” quips Muecke. “This is for the one-quiver girl looking for a lively, nimble, fun ski for the whole mountain.”

4. Rossignol Temptation 100

This new ski from Rossignol is being called “...a carve-friendly, directional ski that likes to go fast,” says Rodman. “It can hold its own anywhere on the mountain but is on its game in packed powder and on the groomers.” Testers awarded highest scores in the AMB Category for carving. “Takes strength, but this strong ski blows through chopped snow and carves like crazy,” says Pugliese.
