[R1512R, Moonlight Basin] highlights their Zero Gravity terrain park features in their third annual Huck-A-Berry Jam Contest Mar. 7. The popular event returns to its original roots this year as a rail jam.

The park ranks with freeriders as an intermediate park with plenty of medium and large features for jamming: rails, boxes, berms, tables, rollers, and a wall. Smaller features for developing skills appear in the resort's Pony Park.

The Huck-A-Berry Jam contest is the event where locals show off the tricks they've been working on all year. It's open to all ages. The jam format makes the Huck-A-Berry a good spectator event, too.

The event, which costs $20 to enter, takes place on Cup-A-Jo right in front of the Headwaters Grille in the Madison Village Base Area. Skiers and snowboarders both compete in three divisions for each: open, under 17, and girls.

The entry fee includes a venue ticket and an event T-shirt. All competitors must have lift tickets, which are available for $25, and must wear helmets. Registration for the event caps at the first 100 competitors.

Registration takes place on morning of the event in the Headwaters Grille at 8 a.m. The park is open for practice for an hour before competition starts at 10 a.m. Twenty-minute heats for all divisions are followed by a 20-minute final jam for each.
