The ski season is just around the corner and Toronto is getting ready. The Toronto Ski, Snowboard & Travel Show, which claims to be the biggest in North America, takes place in less than three weeks at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place.

The show takes place Oct. 13-16, and the hours are as follows: Thursday, 3-10 p.m.; Friday, noon-10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Daily admission is $18 CA ($17.52 US) for adults, $13 CA ($12.66 US) for juniors (6-15) and seniors (60+), and free for children under six when accompanied by an adult. A family pass—two adults and two juniors—is $50 CA ($48.67 US).

If you're looking for gear, new or used, this is the place to be. Hundreds of Ontario's top ski and snowboard shops will be on-hand with all of the latest equipment for the 2011/2012 season and to answer questions. The show is also home to one of Canada's largest ski and snowboard swaps. It's operated by and benefits the Canadian Ski Patrol System. There will be thousands of skis, snowboards, boots and accessories available for purchase.

For those looking to plan a winter snowsports holiday there will be over 125 resort operators from across North America and Europe to answer questions. They will have the latest information on terrain, lodging, dining, nightlife and some offer special incentives to entice a visit.
