While praying for feet, 5" of fresh would do just fine for our resourceful ski testers on day two, when brands busted out the powder planks at 108 mm and topping out at 124 mm under foot.

The couple of testers lucky enough to get in on the early-up tram lap definitely found it, but all seemed to be more than able to assess floatation as they checked skis off their list. As with the first day, select skiers were tasked with also test-driving the all-mountain back category—also new this year, with waist widths in the 90–106 mm.

The OnTheSnow après party capped off our powder day at the Seven Summits Club at Snowbird, where tester and manufacturer alike kicked back for some snacks, swag, a sip or two and prizes. Some of our most diligent ski testers even finished filling out test cards as they finished off their drinks... hopefully data we won't have to discard down the line for lack of legibility!
