Yes, it’s true: a short stretch of warm weather and rain will hit the area on Friday, but the good news is that it’ll be over quickly.

The last few weeks have been nothing short of sensational, with consistent cold weather and a few big storms. For eastern skiers, this is as good as it gets.

A strong storm moving out of the Rocky Mountains will put a quick damper on this good mood with warm air and liquid precipitation Thursday night through Friday. Sometimes a storm like this signals the start of a warmer weather pattern, but thankfully that’s not the case with this storm.

On Saturday, cooler weather will return, and it appears that this cool down will stay locked in through at least the first few days of March. While it’s too early to forecast any more big snow storms with the upcoming stretch of cold weather, the cold temperatures alone will help resorts get snow conditions back in top quality.

If you haven’t spent much time on the slopes of New England so far this season, don’t let yourself wait any longer and regret missing out when spring rolls around. Get out this weekend or next week and enjoy what has been a fantastic couple of months of skiing!
