It's always nice to know there are ways to save a few bucks while taking care of your skiing and/or snowboarding jones in these tough and perilous economic times.

[R265R, Mt. Bachelor] is providing several ways to help you save.

For instance, Bachelor is allowing kids 18 and under to ride free when an accompanying adult purchases a multi-day lift ticket; each day the grownup skis or snowboards so does the kid. If there are more kids in your group, each additional youth can get 50 percent off the cost of a lift ticket per day.

Another big dollar discount offer at Bachelor is the passholder buddy ticket option, whose cost has been further reduced and expanded. Every pass holder (whether adult, teen or youth) can purchase up to five lift tickets for $29 a pop ($50 on Saturdays and holidays).

You also can ride for $29 a day (that's half of the regular, non-holiday lift-ticket price) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when you purchase these Hooky Days tickets in advance and online.

Finally, you can save a few bucks per lift ticket when you purchase a Joe's 5-pack for $269 at most Joe's Sporting Goods stores in Oregon and Washington.
