The resort, also famous for its spa treatments and offering a believed to be unique combined lift/spa pass to visitors, has also been expanding its snow making which covers virtually all of the terrain - still rare for a major resort in Europe. BKK has 750 snow cannon covering 98% of the piste.

Franz Klammer's legacy has been a great boon to the resort, which has been working to build its reputation as a centre of excellence for ski racing in recent years. This effort will be rewarded in December as the resort hopsts rwo FIS World Cup races - the Men's Slalom and Giant Slalom.

Expert skiers visiting the resort can try for themselves demanding pistes such as the K 70 FIS run, named after the Austrian "emperor" Klammer himself. This FIS run is difficult enough to ski, even for professional World-Cup ski-racers, it includes a tricky jump and a steep bottom section.
