Currently the leading Norwegian resort has between 20-30cm (8-12 inches) of natural snow above the tree line and snow conditions in the high mountain are excellent.
The snowfall and cold weather has ensured the opening of the Hamarløypa slope.
"It is cold and we have produced lots of snow in the slopes. The ski conditions are very good!" said Marit Foss, ski lift operator SkiStar's Marketing Manager, adding. "We are producing a lot of snow and new slopes will open continuously."
The resort's ski school, ski rental, Trollia child care and a variety of restaurants will are open in Hemsedal Ski Center and as an extra service to guests the ticket office will stay open until 9pm.
Upcoming events include an FIS race on 25/26 November a ski test weekend on 5-7 December and open house at the new Alpine Lodge on 6 December.
