Chris, along with more than 75 riders from 16 nations, will be attending The North Face® Ski Challenge, the only event mixing free ride and freestyle, open to all European residents between the ages of 12-20.

Through an online competition hosted on The North Face®, YouTube channel, Chris demonstrated his free skiing skills through a series of tricks filmed at the Norfolk Dry Ski Slope.

Chris, who has been skiing since he was 15 years old, was delighted with the news that he will be attending one of Europe's biggest ski events for young freeskiers.

Chris says, "I am completely over the moon to have been chosen to represent the UK. I'm looking forward to meeting the other competitors and seeing what skills they have".

Over 350 young skiers from across Europe demonstrated their skills in hopes of qualifying for the finals, with only a handful going through to the final to compete for money can't buy prizes.

Chris will be competing in the newly formed ‘Emperors' category, for 19-20 year old, and should Chris win he will take home a selection of The North Face® gear.

Past winners AJ Kemppainen, Tom Oliver Hedvall have definitely changed their ski lives forever winning the Ski Challenge and are now participating in world level competitions (such as the X Games for AJ) or featured in ski movies (such as Free Radicals) for Tom.

"We were absolutely amazed at the high quality of the competitors despite their young age. The North Face® is always on the lookout for new talent, and The North Face® ski challenge never fails to deliver" said Keith Byrne, The North Face® Senior Strategic Marketing Manager EMEA , "We are really excited about uncovering this year's new talent from across Europe."

The North Face® Ski Challenge will begin with a day of mountain safety on the 26th March, with the competition beginning on the Saturday starting with Free riding, followed with Free sking on the Sunday.
