Then on over three weekends on February 5th, 12th and 19th, 2012, guests and locals alike meet for the Engadin's largest horseracing event on the frozen Lake St. Moritz. The annual White Turf event, a tradition dating back to 1907, is no longer ‘merely' a horse-racing meeting. It's a unique social event with thundering horses' hooves on spraying snow; thrilling flat and trotting races; betting offices for a flutter and brave jockeys on skis pulled at high speed by horses at one of the fastest ski-joring races in the world! Another annual highlight for horsey types is the Snow Polo in Klosters. This event is really different - as well as being the first tournament of the Swiss polo season, it's also the only snow polo tournament worldwide to be played at night on a floodlit pitch. Spectators can also watch free of charge.

The event, from January 19 - 22, 2012 attracts players from all over the world, including Germany, England, Argentina and Mexico as well as Switzerland meet in the beautiful alpine village.  More Info.
