St. Moritz is best known for its luxury and exclusive hotels. In December 2011, the eighth
5-star hotel in the Upper Engadin will open its doors - the Giardino Mountain. But St. Moritz is not only about 5-star hotels: A jewel of snow and ice has emerged next to the Muottas Muragl top station, blending harmoniously into the mountain landscape: an igloo village. Even in frosty temperatures it melts guests' hearts, charming them with its fairy-tale sculptures and cosy furnishings. Inside, snow crystals sparkle on the walls, warm furs cover the seats, and candlelight makes for a wonderfully romantic ambiance: perfect for all who wish to experience something special. In the igloo bar, select snacks and drinks are served.

The hotel Chesa Grischuna in Klosters has a very colourful history. In 1938, the well-known architect Hermann Schneider, who was commissioned by Hans Guler, built this wonderful house. During the Second World War it became a popular hotel for American GI's, then after the war it returned to its original holiday clientele, but not for very long. Soon after, authors and actors from the US began to holiday here and the hotel acquired a new name - Hollywood on the Rocks. Barbara Rios Guler, the present owner, loves to retell stories from those days. She remembers well, as a child, watching as her father greet film legends, such as Greta Garbo, Swiss government ministers, and the blue blood of European aristocracy.
