Arguably one of the coolest sun terraces can be found in Laax. The Café No Name, at 2,228 metres, is a meeting point for the snowboarder and freestyler crowd. Freestyle technique and jumps are practiced here on a daily basis and the terrace gives spectators the best possible view of the super-pipe and fun park where you can watch the pros perfecting their twist and turns in the air.

The best party terrace can be found high up in the skiing resort of Davos Klosters. For more than 20 years the Jatz Hütte has been part of the Davos party scene. At around 2,500 metres, in the midst of plastic palms and a whirlpool Jacuzzi, the Après-Ski comes to life. Sun lovers find 100 deck chairs waiting from them, order something refreshing at one of the three bars, or if you're lucky chill out in the VIP lounge. Davos is also home to some of the crazy parties such as "the laptop chucking championship" and "the Kangaroo meets the Ibex"!

For sun lovers, Arosa is the place to be. It lies at 1,800 metres above sea level making it snow-sure and the perfect place for winter hiking. In this ski resort, all the mountain lodges are accessible on skis, by ski-lift or even on foot, which is good news for the non-skier. Go and grab some real sunshine and relax on one of the many sun terraces. Popular choices include the party terrace next to the Tschuggen lodge or the "chill out" terrace on the Brüggerhorn.
