[R336R, Red Mountain Resort] in British Columbia plans to host two reunions this winter. The resort is rounding up both race team alumni and staff to celebrate its history and yuck it up over old times.
Got any Lycra hanging in your closet from the old racing days at Red? If so, the racing club is looking to have you join them for a weekend of nostalgia, seeing old teammates, and, of course, ski racing.
The Red Mountain Racers Alumni Reunion is scheduled for Feb. 6-8. It includes a Friday night meet-and-greet event, skiing, racing, and a gala party with a silent auction and dance. All racer alumni, coaches, parents, and volunteers are invited.
The Return to Red Staff Reunion is scheduled for the following month to coincide with the Kokanee Spring Fest Week at Red Mountain. Organizers are hoping to round up people who worked at Red since it opened in 1947.
The staff reunion, which is scheduled for Mar. 18-21, includes events such as a Turkey Roast, slideshows, live music, parties, two days of team races, and, of course, a "Paint the Town Red Night" in Rossland. Special prices for lodging and lift ticket packages will be available for the weekend.
You'll find contacts, event schedules, and rates online when they are available.
