More in store for the West today, ice for parts of the South, the chill is back in the Northeast and the Midwest storms continue. RC

Portions of the West continues to benefit from from a second round of storms, with another 1 to 2 feet of snow in store for the Sierra and significant amounts are also in the mix for the Colorado Rockies, northern Arizona and northwest New Mexico. While the Cascades and Montana get a break, the chilly temps allow the excellent snow dumps received over the weekend to stick around. Look for highs in Montana to stay below zero and mid teens to mid 20's for the rest of the region.

The snow is back for the region today, as 2 to 4 inches are in the forecast for the Great Plains and the Great Lakes. This system will also bring the chance for freeing rain to portions of the Ohio Valley. Look for highs in the single digits for the northern portions of the region and mid teens to mid 20's for the southern portions.

The chill is back for the region, with light snow from Pennsylvania to New England in the forecast today. As the day progresses, portions of West Virginia, northwest Virginia and western Maryland could see freezing rain and icing. Temps mid 20's to mid 30's.
