The ski resort of [R422R, St. Anton] is opening a brand new multi-functional indoor climbing facility in time for the winter season.

Skiers to St Anton can take a break from the slopes and visit the new arl.rock multi-functional sports centre with its vast climbing facility. It offers three levels of climbing difficulty with bouldering and ice climbing also available. A modern fixed wire climbing route leads up to the roof of the new activity centre. Other activities found at the sports centre include tennis courts, squash, and a four-lane bowling alley.

St. Anton's ski area will open Nov. 28-30 with the Stanton Ski Open event. This is a giant slalom - the longest slalom race in the world - where everyone is eligible to enter the three-kilometre-long race.

St. Anton is in the Arlberg mountain range, which offers 440 kilometres of piste connected by 85 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts. Skiers will find slopes for all abilities, snowboard fun parks, carving areas, racing circuits, and cosy mountainside restaurants.

The resort also is known for its lively après ski scene, with plenty of late-night bars, nightclubs, happy hours, live music, and DJs.

Lynsey Devon, Public Relations Manager at Inghams, says: "St. Anton is one of the most popular resorts in the Alps because it ticks so many boxes for competent skiers and boarders. The high snowy slopes attract more and more skiers and have become a mecca for the off piste powder hounds. The lively après ski scene also draws the crowds and they still say there are 10 men to every woman in the resort."
