[R359R, Showdown Ski Area], located in Central Montana, is paying their customers for bringing new skiers and snowboarders to the mountain. The resort is offering a recruiter reward program to encourage existing skiers and riders to introduce their friends to the fun of a ski hill experience.
The recruiter gets 10 Showdown Bucks for bringing a newcomer. The bucks can go towards resort purchases, such as a season pass or a lunch. Recruiters must register with the resort and are limited to bringing two new people per day. Recruiters also can use the Showdown Bucks as gifts because the cards are transferable.
The newcomer skier or snowboarder must sign up for one of the First-time Learning Packages, which cost $39 for one day or $109 for three days. Both packages include a lessons, lifts, and rental equipment. First timers must be seven years old to ski and 11 years old to snowboard.
The resort defines first timers as "a person who does not ski or snowboard, thinks winter is kind of cold and unpleasant, and wonders what all this 'Powder-day' fuss is about." He or she must be new to the resort rather than a skier who wants to learn to snowboard.
Call (800) 433-0022 if you have questions about who qualifies.
