Marathon skier Christian Flühr is attempting to ski non-stop for 11 days through Jan. 22. Flühr's attempt, called the 'Golden Eleven', involves skiing continuously through the night with a gondola operating 24 hours a day especially for him. The maximum sleep-time Flühr can hope for is 20 minutes on the gondola. Obergurgl had one of the biggest investments in new lifts in the world this winter with three new gondolas installed.
