Peak-To-Peak Gondola Taking Shape
Construction of Whistler Blackcomb's long awaited Peak-to-Peak Gondola has hit the five-month mark and the progress is visible. You can gauge the magnitude of the project already. Tower Three on Blackcomb Mountain and the drive and return terminals are materializing after months of site preparation, excavation, and concrete work. The drive terminal's staging and scaffolding are complete on Whistler Mountain.
The biggest challenge with winter around the corner is completing the concrete work at the terminal before the snow seriously flies. Resort officials say work on the dramatic new gondola is right where it ought to be.
