Australasia's top surfing and snowboarding pros will be mixing it up on the slopes of [R764R, Mt Hutt] in Canterbury and New Brighton Beach Christchurch from September 25 - 27 at the Surf Snow Cup. Up for grabs is $10 000 in cash and prizes, and a $1500 first prize kitty for pros and $600 for amateurs.

The competition is two rounds in each discipline of surf and snow with a seeded format and a mix of invitee riders.  Entrants will be required to compete in both disciplines with Marcus Stocker from [R746R, Thredbo] tipped as favourite alongside Clint and Mitch Allan from [R744R, Perisher] and Matt Wrobel from Jindabyne.

The competition starts on September 25 with a forty man format surfing contest to decide the seeding.  A one day slope style event is then held on September 27 at Mt Hutt with a course of two lines, an A line with rails, and a B line with kickers.  The event then moves to Methven to the iconic Blu Pub for an open rail jam, fashion show, and live music including local band Good Night Nurse.
