Cypress Encourages Helmet Use
An intricate little network of shoots and trees leading toward the new 22-foot super pipe is a haven for experienced riders. Monday, however, I saw one fellow take a spill after dropping a small cliff. He looked great at first but got bucked in a rutt on the ski out and crashed into a set of trees.
This guy hit those trees full force and wasn't wearing a helmet.
Although he looked like he avoided a head on collision, the 15-front flip after hitting his leg looked severe enough. He would likely be dead, if it had been his head.
