It's time to eat merrier at [R87R, Brundage] this season with a new food and beverage outlet at mid-mountain.

"We wanted to offer a convenient place for a snack or meal right in our novice area at the top of the one-year-old Bear chair," said Brundage's April Russell. The new "Bear's Den" will be an eight-sided log building with 1,300 interior square feet with vaulted ceilings, and a surrounding deck that will cover approximately 3,000 square feet. This will help spread out the crowds during holiday periods and offer a convenience to families who like to stay close to their kids. You can also take in some great views of the upper reaches of Alpine, Sidewinder, and Engen runs.

The second big improvement to Brundage is the addition of a winch cat to their grooming fleet. This will allow access to slopes that have been hard to reach in the past. Other changes include an expanded recycling program and a brand new Web site that you can learn more about on Brundage's blog page.

Located eight miles from McCall, Brundage Mountain Resort claimed to the "Best Snow in Idaho." You may not argue that point. Brundage offers Snowcat skiing on 19,000 acres of backcountry.

The Drive-Up Kid's Center provides a one-stop solution for families, whether the kids are hitting the slopes or spending some time in the convenient day care facility. The Bear Chair connects the Kid's Center to more beginner and advanced beginner terrain, making the learning process enjoyable for all members of the family.
