World Cup On Again, Val Gardena Gets Snow
Val Gardena had just over a foot of snow and has opened 42 km (26 miles) of trails, just under a quarter of the total terrain, with 14 of the 84 lifts operating.
After a tense time and a month of high-profile cancellations, the resort will see a return to Europe of World Cup Alpine ski racing this weekend. The Super-G will be staged on Friday 15th December and the Downhill on Saturday 16th December on the famous Saslong course. The event can be viewed live by panoramic moving webcam at: http://www.valgardena.it/eng/page256.html
