Beginners can get to the Elk Camp six-acre, easy-learning area via a dedicated quad chair.
Plus, the new Elk Camp Gondola gets skiers and riders from the new base village to the Meadows in less than ten minutes.
Elk Camp is a bit removed from the rest of the mountain and provides gentle slopes and groomers for those learning to have fun on the mountain for the first time.
There is even a limit on how many people can be in the area at one time, so that it never gets too crowded. Even more, there is a beginner's lounge area, where people can stop in, rest, and grab a snack before heading back out on the slopes.
