The event, scheduled for Feb. 1 and 2, 2008 (out of the shadow of the Sundance Film Festival), features aerials, dual moguls and, for the first time ever in North America, a World Cup "ski cross" competition. More than 200 athletes from approximately two dozen countries are expected to show. It all starts with the ski cross qualifications Friday, Feb. 1 on Solid Muldoon ski run above Snow Park Lodge, followed by the aerial event on White Owl (the 2002 Olympic Winter Games aerial course) Friday evening. You'll get the ski cross finals followed by the dual mogul event that night on Champion (the 2002 Olympic Winter Games moguls course) Saturday, Feb. 2. Don't miss this one, if you've never watched a night-time ski event. Not only does the head to head mogul deal rip but there's live music and fireworks to stoke the evening. It all starts at 6 p.m., with awards presented immediately following the competitions in the finish area and then entertainment and sparks at approximately 9 p.m. The night is absolutely free but you can purchase VIP tickets and stay warm inside a tent filled with delicious DV food and hot cocoa. The Freestyle Feast tickets are available for dinner ($75) either Friday or Saturday night or for lunch ($65) Saturday in the VIP tent. Tickets also include a commemorative gift. Buy them by calling 435-645-6510. Children six years and under are free. Deer Valley's 2008 Visa Freestyle International will be aired on NBC television on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. and on Versus at 5 p.m. E.S.T. as well as on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. E.S.T on Versus.
