Montgenèvre Gets $100m Upgrade
Montgenèvre is located on the Milky Way Pass, which links it to famous Italian ski resorts such as Sestriere and Sauze D'Oulx, 2006 Turin Olympic venues. Together they offer more than 250 miles of linked ski runs.
The $100m investment has been spent on infrastructure improvements on the slopes and in the resort, which is now bypassed by the busy road that used to run through it but now goes beneath it in a tunnel.
$25m has been spent on improving the look and feel of the resort, and $15m on new facilities including a cinema, theatre and nursery and community centre. They plan to spend $30m more over the next two years to create more runs and new lifts.
