Other improvements include a new snow tubing area complete with 10 lanes, a new triple chairlift, a new carpet lift, two new, long intermediate runs and a new, bigger terrain park terrain park – located at the site of the former tubing operation – with new rails, boxes and jumps. They also added some smaller terrain features to encourage those new to the sport.
It was all part of a $2.5 million dollar upgrade. Get out and see, ski and ride the new improved terrain. This has long been one of my favorite ski areas in the lower Heartland, and they've always done a great job of laying down a good base. In the last nearly 40 years of operation Mad River has taught close to a half-million Buckeyes to embrace the snowsport of skiing.
