Chestnut Roars Dec. 2
Lowering temperatures have allowed Chestnut to bring its 75 snowguns to bear since Thursday night, and they promise a fully covered slope for local skiers and riders by the weekend.
"Once we start making snow we'll lay down a good base in a matter of a few hours," said Mike Murphy, general manager.
Chestnut boasts 19 groomed ski runs, a seven-acre terrain park for snowboarders, chairlift capacity to accommodate 10,000 guests per hour, and full-service dining and lodging facilities.
