Freeride In the Portes Du Soleil
The resort has published recommended routes for free riders. Choice cuts include The Mines d'Or offers a big ski down from the Col du Fornet (Avoriaz) towards the Vallée de la Manche (Morzine). A second hit is in The Fontaines Blanches starting from the Chaux des Rosées summit, skiing down to the bottom of the They (Morgins) valley. To enjoy the Pierre Plate begin with a five minutes hike carrying your skis or board then descend from the Col des Portes de lHiver, arriving at the Tovassière cantine in Morgins, no doubt winning applause from cheese-fondue fans, enjoying the show and sunshine on the terrace.
