No Operator Yet For Blue Hills
Word is the bids from three would-be operators of the ski area at the state-owned Blue Hills Reservation outside Boston are so solid and impressive that Department of Conservation and Recreation has asked the bidders to come in Oct. 5 for a live presentation and Q&A.
Ski Campgaw Management LLC, operators of Campgaw Mountain in Mahwah, N.J.; Blue View Recreation Center LLC of Milton, Mass.; and RM Blue Hills Inc. of Easton, Mass., submitted bids by the Sept. 11 deadline.
Boston-area skiers eagerly await the selection of a winner, which is expected sometime next week.
Meanwhile, other areas across New England are readying for winter as the clock ticks toward the start of ski season.
