Diamond Peak Conducts Uphill Race
Diamond Peak conducts its annual Uphill Race Saturday, March 29, in a sort of an antidote to its popular Last Tracks program. Participants make their way up to Snowflake Lodge by any means possible except motorized – i.e., snowshoes, skis, skins, etc. – and then partake in a communal breakfast. Of course, participants must get down the hill under their own power afterward. Registration fee is $10, which gives entrants a commemorative T-shirt and a continental breakfast at Snowflake Lodge. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8. Prizes will be awarded to the best uphill time (male and female) and there will be a raffle for everyone participating.
