Lech is one of the major beneficiaries of the biggest November snow storm in 30 years in Austria, as the weather balances things out again after last winter saw the warmest ever November in the Alps. Although Austria has the best of the early snow in Europe, most other resorts in the Alps have had substantial snowfalls. The picture is not the same in other European areas outside the Alps which are still waiting for their first substantial snowfalls of the season, so be careful to check your resort's individual circumstances if you plan to travel early.
