St. Paul Winter Carnival Is Coming
The St. Paul Winter Carnival, which takes place Jan. 23—Feb. 3, is the oldest winter carnival in the nation. Celebrating 121 years, there isn't an event they haven't tried on snow over the last century. Over a quarter-million people will attend the event over its 10-day run. Nearby Afton Alps, Buck Hill, Welch Village, and Wild Mountain, all located on the St. Paul side of the Twin Cities, cater to revelers' downhill needs.
