The small ski hill - 200 acres, 21 trails, 3 lifts -offers something unique: at one hour from Tucson, you can ski and golf in the same day. But you first must survive the narrow, winding road, which requires four-wheel drive or chains when new snows fall. Owner Jay Davies notes that the area used to get enough snow to open for several months. He says, "Hopefully, we'll get these snows in a cycle like we used to when snow was really going good up here." Currently, the only the lower lift is open. It'll take one more storm cycle to open the rest of the ski hill.
