Fresh Snow In St Moritz
Although summer skiing is no longer offered on St Moritz's glacier, the funicular and cable car up to the start of the world's steepest World Cup downhill course start were running for the last of the summer season's tourists as usual.
No one took to the thinly covered slopes, but the famous resort hopes the World Championships, last staged here in 2003, will be back here in 2013 if they win the contest to host the event against other candidates including Vail, next summer.
