Resorts in this article: Cranmore Mountain Resort, Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley
Waterville Valley piled up 5" of new snow last weekend and with 42 trails open is enjoying packed powder, great snowmaking weather and very happy skiers. To furnish visual proof of the conditions they have launched a daily "video snack" on their website. The streaming video lets skiers see for themselves conditions on the mountain on a daily basis.
Cranmore's trail count was 31 last weekend and they are aiming for 100% in the next few days. With great snowmaking conditions the last couple of weeks the snowmakers have been working round the clock and Friday night's 5" was the icing on the cake.
Loon Mountain reached 100% for open terrain last weekend making 275 acres and almost 20 miles of trails skiable. They are also producing a daily "video snack" to give an inside look at skiing and riding conditions. Loon backs up its claims. Anyone not satisfied with the day's conditions can return their ticket by 11 am and receive a voucher for another day during the season.
