Visitors to have chosen [R370R, Ski Brule] in Iron River, Mich., as their "Favorite Overall Resort" in the Midwest for the second consecutive year. The data period for voting was January 2011 when a Nielsen audit showed 3.4 million unique browsers logged in to the world's most visited Web platform. is published by Mountain News Corp.

The ski resort with the top average score (on a scale of 1 to 5) in each category, and a minimum number of entries, receives the award. Visitors then ranked them in five categories: Overall Favorite, Best Nightlife, Most Family-Friendly, Best Downhill Terrain, and Best Terrain Park.

"User-generated content is a very powerful and effective way Web visitors have to communicate with each other," said Mountain News Global Managing Director Chad Dyer. "Skiers and snowboarders are relying on the word of their peers when they make resort choices."

Here are a few examples of what OTS visitors wrote about Ski Brule: "I always have a great time. Ski Brule always has tons of snow and the slopes are always in good condition. The drive isn't too far and the prices are decent." Another wrote: "Ski Brule is one of our favorite resorts to visit. Why? They do everything possible to make sure you have a great on the hill and off the hill experience. The staff is great...very friendly. We always have fun here.

Ski Brule is a family-centered resort that has made a promise for several decades that it will be the first to open (sometimes as early as October) and the last to close because of its location and snowmaking capabilities. There are 150 acres serviced by 11 lifts.
