Aspen's four mountains of [R25R, Aspen, Snowmass], Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands welcome families and have plenty for the kids to do during your visit.

The highlight for folks visiting Snowmass is the Treehouse Kids Adventure Center. It's a one-stop shop for the family, where kids can get clothes, lift tickets, rentals, and lessons with the Ski & Snowboard School. Babies to toddlers to teens have their own area of fun, with puppet shows, a climbing gym, napping loft, and movie nights. The Treehouse also offers summer camp programs.

Take the kids off the slopes for a scenic snowmobile tour to the Maroon Bells. T-Lazy-7 Ranch has the snowmobiles and offers up the tour for the whole family.

Ice skating is everywhere in Aspen. There is an indoor rink downtown at The Aspen Ice Garden as well as an outdoor rink at the Silver Circle across from Rubey Park at the base of Aspen Mountain. The Aspen Recreation Center near the base of Aspen Highlands also has an NHL-size indoor rink. Bring your gear and play some pick-up hockey. The rec center has two pools, including a lap and diving pool, a two-story waterslide, lazy river, and spray features. A 32-foot climbing tower is in the lobby area.

Snowmass has a new rec center with bouldering and climbing walls, a gymnasium and aerobic rooms, cardio, a lap pool and kiddie pool. More fun at Snowmass includes terrain parks for every age and level. Also check out the NASTAR course. It's fun for the whole family.

Something else that is fun for the kids is lunch or dinner at Boogie's Diner in downtown Aspen. You'll sit in pink vinyl booths, drink massive milk shakes, and fill up on French fries and other tasty treats.
