Use Common Sense On Bogus Basin Road
The good news for riders at Bogus Basin Jan. 21: Great fresh snow. The bad news: unless you were there before noon, you were out of luck as the road was closed due to another accident. The head-on crash occurred just before 1 p.m. with injuries to four people and a dog. Officials are urging people to take extra caution and to use common sense, with such icy conditions.
"Bogus Basin Road is unique in the area because it is often cold and icy and it can be sandy on the road," Boise Fire Department's Bruce Rankin said. "Stay in your lane, don't pass. Use common sense rules of the road we seem to have forgotten in a lot of cases."
