Speeding in Blind White at Cypress
"The snow is great, I just wish I could see," says one season pass holder from Vancouver.
Despite repeated assurances from the mountain that it would, the Sky Chair wasn't open as of 4pm due to snow maintenance. However, at Cypress, there are all kinds of places to play without Sky.
The snow was thick as stout and just kept coming. After my thighs could take no more of Bowen West, Slash, B Hip and their bark markers, I went to the soft groomed to throw myself through white emptiness on Fork and Cascade.
It can be great to be lost in fog, speeding in blind white, like falling with your eyes closed, it's better to feel than see.
