Lake Louise, Sunshine, and Norquay have banded together with the towns of Banff and Lake Louise to make visiting a synch for skiers. Ski Big 3 packages include lodging from all pocketbook spectrums, an unlimited tri-resort multi-day lift ticket, plus daily shuttle buses to get you there. Depending on lodging location and where you want to ski each day, daily travel times to the resorts vary from seven to 45 minutes. (You can even opt to stay in Canmore, but you'll need a car to get to the ski hills.) Buses to the ski hills leave several times daily from Banff and Lake Louise. You can pick your resort choice in the morning when you see what the day's weather has in store. With Ski Big 3 packages, you can fly into Calgary, catch a shuttle to Banff and never rent a car. Or since the lift ticket includes one non-skiing day, you can rent a car to explore the Icefields Parkway. Best of all, as many U.S. resorts shut down in early April, in Banff National Park the skiing goes on well into May.
