It's very close to ski season, and the big, BIG storms need to start hitting. Many resorts are opening Thanksgiving week and they need more than man-made snow. Keep your eye on the weather forecasts to see if the true wintry weather rolls in.
Vail (11/16), Winter Park (11/14), Eldora (11/16), and Crested Butte (11/17) are scheduled to open this week. The Bula Team pros will be on hand in the Dog Patch East Terrain Park, showing off their tricks and passing out Bula schwag at Winter Park Saturday, Nov. 17.
Loveland, A-Basin, Copper, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Wolf Creek are already open. Terrain is very limited, so be careful if you're planning a family outing on a weekend day. Avoid the crowds.
The rest of Colorado's resorts will open Thanksgiving week with the exception of Sunlight, Sol Vista, Purgatory, Powderhorn, Howelsen (Steamboat), Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands. These reports will open late November or into December.
