Snowbowl Sees Crowds
Weekends and holidays at Snowbowl have seen lift lines, rental lines, and a demand for lessons. It's all due to snow coverage that has surpassed last year's sketchy short season. "The snow conditions are the best we've had in years," says Snowbowl's David Smith. "The current storm is the fourth to bring us over four feet of snow. Compared to last year, it's 100 percent better."
Demand has created a crunch in kids' lessons. The resort only will teach full-day children's lessons on weekend, holidays, and big snow days.
Smith recommends skiing midweek to beat the crowds. "You can pretty much ski right onto the lifts," he says.
