Taos will open several lifts on Thanksgiving Day. Intermediates can ski and ride Powderhorn from Chair 1, while beginners ski Strawberry Hill from Chair 3 and the Ruegglie. The resort expects to open more Chair 1 terrain just after Thanksgiving, and until mid-December, tickets will be cheaper--$25 for adults, $20 for teens, and $15 for kids. In the meantime, those aching to drop into the Highline and West Basin chutes will have to wait a bit longer.
