Andorra Still Waits For Snow
Although the resorts have managed to maintain snow levels of 20cm to 40cm (8 to 16 inches) with their extensive snowmaking in low temperature, warmer weather over the weekend have made that task ever more challenging. It is hoped that cloudy skies after weeks of clear skies and cold temperatures are harbingers of a change to snowy conditions at last. No black category and only a couple of intermediate level runs are open, only easy terrain.
Next Saturday 27th January VallNord's Pal resort will stage the Retrolympic Race. This imaginative special slalom open to all has three categories: "Lake Placid," "Sapporo" and "Albertville," in which the antiquity of the skis and boots used to match the Olympics concerned.
