Les Arcs' Famous Lift Gets an Upgrade
The famous Aiguille Rouge cable car which ascends to Les Arcs highest skiing at 3226m has been totally renovated for this season with a new multi-coloured paint job.
The lift, which has warnings at the base to advise non-expert skiers to be wary of the terrain it accesses, had its two cabins sent over the border to Switzerland for a refit at the end of August.
They returned to Les Arcs on November 10th and were reinstalled at Arc 2000 on November 29th ready for the new season. The resort opens 16th December and the full Paradiski pass to La Plagne a week later on 23rd December.
