Ripping Teens At Squaw Valley
The Squaw Valley ski and snowboard school has come up with a special program for teenage rippers known as Squaw Sessions. These Sessions, which will take place over specific holiday periods (Christmas-New Years week, Jan. 19-21, Feb. 16-24 and March 8-9 and 15-16), for 13- to 17-year-old experienced freeriders (beginners are discouraged), who want to master park and big-mountain terrain; the kids can even choose what they want to work on that day. The program will be offered on a daily basis, which means the kids aren't bound to multi-day sessions and can pop in at any time to freshen their skills. Daily cost of $115 includes lunch but not a lift ticket. Call 530-452-7225 for details.
